Josh Hughes, P.E. MSEM is the Principal of Hughes Engineering, LLC an engineering firm specializing in fall protection headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. Over his career in engineering he has worked on the design of industrial equipment, automotive components, consumer products, structural and mechanical analysis in the nuclear industry, as well as the design, installation, certification, and inspection of fall protection equipment. He has designed fall protection systems for buildings in Tennessee, North Carolina and the Washington D.C. Metro area. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and the District of Columbia.

“As a fall protection expert, my goal is to help employers and building owners/property managers to understand the OSHA regulations and industry requirements for fall protection. Coaching and teaching others about fall protection is an avenue that I use to increase awareness about fall hazards. Designing fall protection systems, supervising their installation, testing and certifying equipment are all areas that I can help to protect employees.”
